robertramsey61 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 So a few weeks ago our dogs got out (we were having our house painted and the painter did not latch the gate) and I was on a mission to get my dogs back, to save a long story all three of our dogs were found. One was a German Short hair, when looking for her and putting info on her on the web a lady called us thinking she had found our dog. Well it was not ours but she did find another great dog. The dogs name is Ruby and she is thought to be 9 or 10 years old, she was found in Mesa and is in need of a home. I already have 3 dogs and dont have room for a fourth. The lady that has her took her to the vet and found that she has a chip, the owners were from Glendale and were going to come and pick her up, but then at the last minute canceled and just said they were unable to keep her and there financial situation would not allow them to. We are trying to look for a good home for her, she is a very good dog and needs (deserves) a great home. Anyone interested please send me a PM, and lets try and get this dog a good home. COOSEFAN Report post Posted February 24, 2011 Man that's heartbreaking to hear the owners backed out of coming to get her! I just showed my wife and although she was tempted she still told me "NO"! I already have 1 GSP that we rescued and I would love to give that dog a home as well but it's just not feasible for us. Hopefully somebody gives her a good home, they are great dogs!!! tjhunt2 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 I started to post earlier on this post and pulled back because I didn't know the situation on the family who owned the dog and their financial status which they clainmd is the reason they couldn't take back Ruby. I'll never understand that one. I feel so bad for this dog that I wanted to take him but I know I wouldn't be able to give him a good home, living in town with two other dogs, and I'm glad to see cw4992 might take him in. We really have some great people on this site. TJ
mbiewer Report post Posted February 24, 2011 Hey! if CW4192 doesnt want the dog, i would love to come and meet her. I have always wanted a gsp. I was trying to "haggle" with my girlfirend to get one, ha ha. We are both active, but due to our schedules dont think we could be active enough for a pup. This would be a sweet oppurtunity. let me know what happens

mbiewer Report post Posted February 24, 2011 hey Cody, (and the rest) thanks for your generosity. Right now we work opposite shifts so i dont see her, and am not able to discuss this awesome find. I go outa town this friday and comeback saturday. (im doing the ragnar relay, its a 12 person team run from wickenburg to tempe -200 miles- so really i get back at the finish line on saturday at 5pm but might not have functioning though until sunday. ha ha) I have just barely conviced her to consider getting a gsp. I think they are awesome but Heather (and her mom) grew up training police k9's so its an adjustment for her. I would love to accept the dog from Robert... But if you can give this dog a happy home, by all means please do. What seems like an "awesomely amazing good idea" to ME.... might get me kicked out. ha ha I would need a bit more time to convince her
