luv2fish Report post Posted February 13, 2011 After serving as the Start Boat for the WON BASS tournament yesterday, we went Crappie fishing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Tonto end of the lake near the buoy line. We put 7 in the boat. All were caught on JD and BBC about 15 ft. deep over 36 ft. of water. These Crappie were smaller than what we've been catching on the Salt end of the lake, but it shows they're starting to hit on both ends of the lake. We went back to Cholla to serve as the Check-in boat for the tournament. Good luck, and keep your bait wet...............LeRoy

standman Report post Posted February 15, 2011 It is good to see crappie being caught at Roosevelt. It has been a while since any consistent numbers have come out of there. Especially since the lake filled. Sure would be nice to see Roosy take off again, if only to take some of the pressure off of San Carlos. Thanks for the report LeRoy. Keep us posted on future trips.
