COOSEFAN Report post Posted December 7, 2005 Hey COOSEFAN, I am also booked for a trip w/the same group. I purchased my hunt through an auction at the SCI banquet here in Flagstaff. My hunt is Jan. 10th, I am really pressing my luck and only taking my bow down with me. I am an archery hunter and to me, that is the only way I want to hunt, so we'll see if it pays off. Been practicing a bunch and as you, getting really excited too! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I tried to buy the hunt in auction at the R.M.E.F. banquet in Flagstaff. I was sitting at the same table with the donor of that tag ( Gary Howell ) and then bought his last one after the auction. Last years auction tag buyer was there also, he killed a 117" buck while stalking in on a 130" class! That's really what sold me on it and Gary seemed like an incredibly nice guy. I planned on taking my bow, Gary actually said I would have a great chance of getting several shots at 100" class bucks! But I have no time to practice enough, so I'm rifle hunting. He told me he had a client coming before me that was archery hunting, and seemed very optimistic about your success as well. Is He the same guy you've talked with? lucky2hunt Report post Posted December 7, 2005 Hi Jim, Yes, Gary is who we have been talking to, and indeed he is a very nice guy! I hope you are right about my chances of gettin' one with my bow, it would be a dream come true for sure. My husband is going with me but not hunting, he will film and help glass, he enjoys glassing as much as I do hunting... Good luck with your hunt, it will be here before we know it!
