Much easier to read I now have a white background, and would be happy as a pup if I also had a place to look to see if I have a new PM. There probably is one, but darned if I could find it. Bill Quimby Bill, if you look at where your user name shows in the upper right corner of the forum, you will see a white arrow on the right side of your name. Click on the little arrow to open the drop down menu. You will see several choices, one will say Messenger. That's how you look at PMs. In addition to that, before you even open the drop down menu, look at the little blue box just right of your name. You will see a 0 and a small white arrow. That is where you can see if you have any notifications (like a PM). If you have a PM, the number will not be 0, it will show how many you have. And if you click the little arrow it will drop down a menu to tell you what the notifications are about. This way as soon as you log in you can look at the notification area and see if it's a 0 or not and that will tell you if you have a PM or some other notification that you should look at. massamino Report post Posted February 9, 2011 You could put a black, blue, or even a fore skin on this site. I would still appreciate all the hard work that is put into running it. It's great to have a place to go and see what is happening around the state when it comes to everything hunting related. Some people are to dang picky it seems sometimes. CouesWhitetail Report post Posted February 9, 2011 Yes, there is still email notification of PMs. The new software is almost identical to the old, but it has added features and better coding to make it run more efficiently. You can change settings in your user control panel. Use the drop down menu by your user name in the upper right to see what you can adjust. There are tabs within each option too, so look for those headings within each option to see the breadth of options you can change. Thanks for the support guys. Red Rabbit Report post Posted February 9, 2011 The lettering with a dark background has always been more difficult to read, even with young eyes. I prefer the lighter, light grey background of this basic version, even over white as it is not overly bright. I hope if we receive a PM, that it will pop up in the middle of the screen like with the old version. We may not notice the "notifications" tucked in the corner.
