singleshot Report post Posted February 3, 2011 Ever consider an Argentine Dogo? Google the dog and check it out. 9 breeds to develop the dog. My son has a litter right now but they are really pricey.

nmtaxi Report post Posted February 3, 2011 I got my bulldog in August - GREAT DOG. Most loyal dog I've ever owned. Where ever I go he follows. Lots of fun, and not a mean bone in his body. I got him from No Man's Land Bulldogs in Oklahoma. Their main concern in breeding is health - very important with bulldogs. Really nice people too. .... My boy.. I thought those were illegal in the US. Has it changed or was I wrong all along? Pretty awesome dogs, though. You pet their head and it feels like a thin layer of skin with concrete underneath. singleshot Report post Posted February 6, 2011 The dogo is banned in China and some other 3rd world country where they were used for fighting and personal protection. There is no problem owning them in the U.S. It,s hard to find a dog that hunts by sight, by nose, will fetch birds, run lions, hogs and will destroy anything that tries to harm it's family. Any dog can be raised to be mean. The Dogo is a very intelligent dog, loyal, non odorous, non shedding companion.

A family that I rented a place from when I was in Argentina, had one. It was an 8 month old female and she was massive. Very cool dog. Sounds like a good dog for Casey.
