2011 Sonora Muley

Recommended Posts

Ernesto we hunted south of Caborca. We crossed in Sonoyta/Lukeville and had absolutely no problems on either side of the border. One of the easiest crossings we have had yet.

Yes, Caborca and all the Altar desert is really good for monster mule deer; maybe not great numbers of coues but some toads there too.

I have taken hunters and crossed in Sonoyta/Lukeville several times and never had any problems. I can say the same from any port of entry I have used...Nogales, Sasabe, Sonoyta and San Luis Rio Colorado.

I think I know were you guys were hunting, like I said that area have produce some muy grande muleys. A guy from here from Yuma took bucks over 200 inches two years in a row.

Congrats Markhunts you are very fortunate indeed!

Thanks Ernesto, and I'm sure you know where and who we were with. Would do it all over again. Not as nervous now. But I'll have to save up for a few more years I'm afraid.

Smoking buck for sure. Bob sent me a pic and I'm glad to see the field photos, what a super deer.
