Scent Control

Recommended Posts

Want to get some opinions on wearing rubber boots, you always see the hunting shows where the guys are always wearing rubber boots into their treestands or hunting spots.

Does wearing rubber boots actually bring you any benefit?

I have a spot were I have been archery deer hunting for the last 2 years, the deer are really staring to come in on a regular basis.

Are these boots going to give me an extra advantage with scent control ?

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Terry

When I was down in Alabama recently, that's all everyone wore out there. Of course lots of people say it's a big advantage, but I haven't tested it. I saw many of those hunters wearing their rubber boots all over the place, like at gas stations and such. Surely they get odor on them doing that?

I only wear rubber boots if i know its going to be muddy or possibly deep snow. It makes sense that people use them for scent control, only because rubber is non-pourous.
