AZantlerhead Report post Posted January 24, 2011 I am looking to sell this to someone who actually has the time and money to do this piece of history some justice...and put money towards another project that has priority over this one... Pm for more details... serious only.... I'll try to post some pics up. I know it's not a hunting rig... but maybe it was in 1953 who knows haha...
AZantlerhead Report post Posted January 25, 2011 This car is pretty much all there but needs full frame off resto in my opinion...The most major thing parts will be to deal with the Powerglide wich was dissasemled in the trunk 15 yrs ago when I got the car, and the radiator wich it never had.. has a fairly straight body and most all original hardware/trim to use or refurbish.. The deluxe package means it came with all the bells and whistles ( clock, spotlight, ashtrays, a/c, extra chrome etc.. ) , Chevy's luxury sedan in other words... front floor pans could use replaceing but the rest of the body is fairly solid... no major dents...all rear glass is Good, Front needs new glass... It will make a good original resto or resto mod project, lowrider, maybe family car for someone else.. Or heck drop and chop it, maybe throw a blown bigblock in it haha?? send me a pic either way..It was my first car givin to me as a kid by my stepmother after she aquired it in a trade from a guy in NM who owned land the car was abandoned on, Have good title though....you will need a flatbed trailer or flatbed towtruck / comealong/winch to take it home/shop and make it shine... peice of history, needs right home.. I will allow a $300 deposit and 30 days for the balance..thanks for lookin
ThomC Report post Posted January 26, 2011 The powerglide would be no problem for who ever buys it. Send me a pm. I would rebuild it just for fun. Nice car, my Dad had a 54 that I drove all over.
BML Report post Posted January 26, 2011 Wish I knew what the heck I was doing. My dad has a '57 Bellaire that he takes to a lot of shows for fun. We were just at the big show at the Pavillions in Scottsdale last Saturday. My dad's buddy had a full frame off restored 66 GTO there that he sold. It was AWESOME!!! Ever since my dad bought his Bellaire, I have wanted to restore an old Chevy. I just have no idea what I am doing!! lol Good luck with the sale.
