Kilimanjaro Report post Posted November 14, 2005 That is a NICE bull!! If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt?? I am thinking of doing a bison hunt in the next couple of years.. Congrats on a super bull.
bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Ok, I have to tell you this wasnt actually a hunt. It was on a ranch in North Dakota. The meat completely boned out, filled 1 1/2 large chest freezers, and was a lot of work.
Guest Reynaldo de la Torre Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Bass,Just wanted to say thanks for the Snyper Broadheads.........I put them to good use. I also took a Whitetail buck with one. Thanks again, Garth <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How much does that volkswagon - I mean Bison- weigh? Takes some serious penetration does it?
Kilimanjaro Report post Posted November 14, 2005 I am still interested in the name of the place and the costs. I'm not gonna hold my breath and hope to draw an AZ or Utah tag, just so my bull can go into the "book". I just want the opportunity to try and harvest a bull bull like yours. Fence or no fence. And have a little meat too ...
bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted November 15, 2005 I will have to get the name of the place........my fiend's cousin, who lives there set it up. I was shooting a Bowtech Allegiance at 70 lbs, 31 1/2" long 2314 arrows tipped with a Snyper. Penetration was to the fletching. My friend shot his bull with a Parker set at 63 lb, carbon arrows tipped with Muzzys and had great penetration also. One thing I learned abouit buffs.......the ribs are not as thick as I had thought, but it is hard to determine where the lungs lay.
Kilimanjaro Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Thanks, I'd sure appreicate the info. I've looked into several locations before, but just didn't like how they operated after talking with the outfitters. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Scotty, the cost was $1600.........seems like a great deal for a bull. Bass, I could mail some meat to you, but the mailman might keep it. Seriously, if you get up to Flag, let me know. Thanks again.
