oz31p Report post Posted January 5, 2011 Take/Hunt From A Vehicle (A.R.S. 17-301 B, R12-4-319) Pages 104 and 121 No person may take wildlife from a motor vehicle (including watercraft and aircraft), except as permitted by Commission Order, and under the provisions of the Challenged Hunter Access Mobility Permit Commission Rule (R12-4-217). “Take,” as defined by law, includes pursuing, shooting, hunting and killing wildlife. You are unlawfully using a vehicle to take wildlife if you intentionally drive around until you see the animal you wish to harvest and then make an attempt to take. “Road hunting” is illegal; so is pursuing wildlife with a vehicle, chasing or heading off moving wildlife with a vehicle, and driving offroad to get closer to wildlife. You do not have to shoot from the vehicle to be in violation.

Non- hunters love to catch you doing things wrong. Don't make the rest of us look bad too. I cherish my right to hunt and it's the little things that slowly take away our sport. Just think about it, and if you still do it, be smart and don't "brag" about it. Sorry if you don't agree. Your screen name tells a story, not a good one to me. For the fact of the matter I really did not ask for your opinion. Also cry baby drama queens on the internet give hunters a bad name as well. Sorry I forgot to mention I was handicaped but did not think that was a big deal
oz31p Report post Posted January 6, 2011 there are no cry babys or drama queens here. you asked to be shown where it says you cant road hunt.
Guest Lobo Report post Posted January 6, 2011 For what it's worth Roadhunter I didn't realize you are handicapped. That's a whole different ball game. AGFD has/had a permit - "CHAMP" I think - which allows for hunting out of a vehicle. Obviously one can't just drive down the road and shoot. I got one for my dad years back but he refused to hunt out of a truck. He was 76 at the time.
rugermack Report post Posted January 6, 2011 We we not being drama queens or cry babies, just stating the facts. Sorry to hear you are handicappied, that makes a big difference in this whole road hunting discussion. Would have been nice if you mentioned that. Did you know if you are handicapped and don't apply for the permit to hunt from a vehicle you are basically still guilty of road hunting ? Just something for you to think about next time you go hunting.
