WM U37B Report post Posted December 29, 2010 AZHunter23, Refund??? Give me a call as I'd be more than happy to help a first timer, especially one with an up and coming youngster who needs to experience some excitement on one of their first outings to really set the hook with the sport we all love. As many have said, don't get discouraged. Give me a call. Thanks, Ben Brochu WM 37B 520-229-3222
Snapshot Report post Posted December 30, 2010 An offer from Ben who probably knows that unit better than anyone, is something you should consider. I have hunted that unit many times over the years, but not in awhile. Always saw pigs along the "Pedro" and the drainages and hills around it.

Basser15 Report post Posted December 30, 2010 Sounds like Ben is already helping you out but there are plenty of pigs in there, just saw some this week. They can be tough to find but once you find the first one the rest start popping up all around it. Good luck

naturegirl Report post Posted January 5, 2011 They are there like others said. In the past I've spent a couple years ]hunting, scouting, camping the areas. Time in the field gets u knowledgeable. I took a pig with a rifle last year and am now using a bow. I glassed a couple mountain ranges from one location for 2 hours til 9 am and then decided to hike to the next ridge to glass. I didn't make it 15 feet and they came running out from a tree they were bedded in about 80 yards out. I ran up to the ridge they went over and never saw them again. I had 3 people glassing all different angles of the hills and they vanished. I was surprised they did not move at first light and were still bedded at 9 am. Learn something new all the time. Keep at it. Im still wondering how im gonna get within 50 yards of them....lol.
BowNut Report post Posted January 5, 2011 I picked up a couple OTC Javelina tags for 37B, and I think I deserve my money back because I dont think there are any pigs there!! (and I am clearly not experienced in finding these little guys) . In the last four days I have put on 862 miles on my truck over 12 on the boots and hours glassing and have only seen 0 PIGS . This is me and my sons first time javelina hunting and hate to say it but we already feel defeated. Every one say I should have 3-4 herds located by opening day but I'm thinking i would like to find just 1. I feel your pain man!! I spent the last three days climbing glassing, climbing glassing over and over in 37b for hogs I know are there cuz I seen them just days before the hunt started. I thought it was going to be simple. 1) Pull in my spot in the am before everyone else. 2) Hike back and glass'em up on the hill as the sun heats up. And 3) Go after them suckers. I have been humbled by the hogs! But I can't wait I will be back on my next day off and with help and more eyes! I will not be beaten buy "THE HOG" this year! I'm on a 3 year dry spell that needs to end. I hope! Thanks now I'm all worked up again and won't be able to sleep tonight! Good Luck to you and your son.
