Guest super jumbo Report post Posted December 25, 2010 I sittin here with my friend hunter, and i will let him tell the story. So this morning started with an early phone call from dave asking if we were still on to meet and i told him the truck was already loaded and i was on my way. We arrived at our spot with plenty of time to make our way up the hill nice and easy with no rush. Just as we sat down Dave finds a few does' right away but no buck. Shortly after he says he has found a buck. It was a really wide two point, and I figured i would go after him. We made a quik plan and i started a long and steep hike around the mountain. Just as i got to the halfway point dave called me on the phone and told me anothe buck had moved over the ridge just a past where the big two point was. Dave gave me a land mark and i had about another 400 yards to go. I slowly made my way down the mountain to the rock pile he told me to peak over and sure enough he was laying 43 yard strait below me. I leaned back and drew my bow but when i looked back over he was standing looking right at me. I felt solid and let it fly only to watch the arrow sink right into his upper chest. He ran 80 yards strait down hill and piled up. It was an amzing morning and couldnt have done it without a good friend like Dave. Unit 21 brought me a christmas gift. Guest super jumbo Report post Posted December 25, 2010 Hunter says "thanks for all the nice posts". This was hunters first mule deer with a bow. I was just as excited as hunter as i watched him pull back his bow and drill this bad boy in the binos. Hunter made a perfect stalk, and a perfect shot. I met Hunter in San Carlos, MX last summer and just met Dave 2 weeks ago! Great guys and no surprise they put down such a great buck! Congrats to you Hunter on a fantastic archery buck!!!
