.270 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 a couple years ago we were pig huntin' and i walked up to an old drift. (drifts run horizontal, shafts run vertical) i did a little mouse squeek, thinkin' maybe there'd be a varmint in there and a fox come runnin' out. surprised me so much i didn't get a shot at it. the next day at the same drift i did the same thing and out come a fox again. only this time i was ready. but i missed. do you realize how ignernt it is to shoot a .264 in a mine drift? bullet went richoceting all over the place i'm still sorta deef from it. you talk about noisy. well, i lernt 2 lessons there. wear ear plugs and take a shotgun. Lark.
