Got 2 on the 2nd day #$@* road hunters

Long story short. Chris, myself,(tag holders) and my dad,( the cook) in 5-b. Dad got there Wednesday and set up camp. We got there Thursday. Friday (opening morning) saw 2 about 200 yards. We missed them both. Saturday, a little farther down, I see 8 cows and 3 bulls at 300 yards coming into the medow. Silver dodge with a quad with a green milk crate on the back comes flying up. passenger jumps out and drops to a knee(SITLL IN THE ROAD) and starts shooting. Driver uses the bed of the truck as a rest and fires. 5 shots total. Elk are gone. I start walking to the truck and it fishtails and goes back the way it came. they stop and one gets out and runs into the woods gun in hand. I make it to where they were and look for blood on the ground.( I was going to put my tag on their road hunting victim) No blood. I go to my spot. Truck returns driver and passenger head to the woods. Again I start to the truck. 20 yards away the door opens and an older woman( 50s-60s) says, Did you see any? We got one and chased them down here. I say, I was getting ready to shoot until you showed up and illeagly shot at them. I took a picture of the lic. plate with my phone. (forgot to save it) the woman says, Do you need their names. I say, No the DMV, Sheriff, and Game and Fish will have their names, and I walk away. I get to my dad and buddy. We talk about it only a little. (they know I am pissed) The POACHERS get back to the truck and get the quad out and go to the woods. Dad Looks at me. I say, I cant stay here and look at that truck.(the poachers came out without one) I leave them ( dad and Chris) and walk away. Still pissed i end up hiking a zig zag 1 1/2 mile-ish pattern. Im not to far from camp and look to my right and see 3 cows and a 3x3 bull. I pick the largest cow not behind trees. she goes 60 yards and falls. As I am dressing her more shots from where I left my buddy. He had a 6x6 bull and 4 cows walk by at 18 yards. He takes the biggest cow. Head to Payson that afternoon. Jermey has a REAL NICE CLEAN shop. The steaks he was cutting made my mouth water.

It was great to meet you, your dad and Chris. Sorry about the careless hunters you ran across but them types are out there. I Can't say thank you so much for the business and such clean animals! Believe me, you'll benefit from it in the end. I'll be talking to you soon.

Congrats buddy....now you got some meat. Jeremy has an A++++++ shop thats for sure. Cleanest in the state I have seen. Dang road hunters need to get their feet wet. It will catch up to them sonner or later.
