BIG GAME TOMORROW NIGHT

Recommended Posts

so what's the deal? the asu fans are being nice to the cats and the cat fans are being nice to asu? you're sposeta rub it iin. smear it around. it's a rivalry. c'mon, what's up with all this kissyface stuff? then when u of a wins, they can return the favor. know how to find tucson? go south till you smell it and then east until you step in it. asu won because they played a little better and there coaches were a little smarter and their cheerleaders are a lot purtier and don't leave tracks on dry concrete. what do you call a 300 lb u of a cheerleader? the top of the pyramid. this is the order of game importance in Az. 3-win the rose bown, 2- win the national championship, and #1 by a long margin, win the border cup. how do you get a u of a grad off your porch? pay him for the pizza. c'mon it's all in fun. at least when your team wins. Lark.

Lark, I agree with you. I'd like to take shots back at you Scum Devils but UA has let me down and pissed me off so much this year, I just kinda lost my gas to do it :( . The loss to ASU wasnt even the worst of it, cause I honestly thought it might happen. They actually looked worse this year in ways. This team just didnt have enough heart. No explosiveness. I think Mark Stoops and Sonny Dykes took that with them when they left.

As much as I'd like to be in the UofA, ASU rivalry, I find myself cheering for ASU, so long as they aren't playing UofA. I don't see that much from ASU fans, but whatever. I like my state colleges, and will support all of them.

I'm way more into the high school end of it. Our Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets had another run at the State Championship, but didn't quite take it this year. Last year, in the dome at Flagstaff, the BR boys won it against Show Low, our small town rivals. This year, same face-off in the dome, Show Low won, and they deserved to. Great bunch of kids from both teams, some amazing young atheletes, and very humble, grounded, and make me proud to be a part of watching these kids go from little kids in big pads to some amazing young men.

Rivalries are great, in that they bring out competitiveness and the desire to push harder. As hard core as the parents and fans get when Blue Ridge faces Show Low (lots of bad blood) I'm always humbled by the respect these teams show eachother on the field.

And that's why my handle is "Coach". I'll be (have been) coaching my 3 boys from first grade through their Senior year in football and baseball, and doing my best to cheer them on in basketball. I think sports, hunting and family time are key to staying close to my boys, and I'll do as much as I can to guide them as they transition from kids to young men. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I succeed. I just want to provide the biggest open path to the future I can for my three sons, acedemically, socially and competitively.

Godspeed to all,

Jason

Breaking News,I just heard that the U of A kicker (Zendejas) tried to hang himself last night after the game, but kept missing the chair when he tried to kick it out from under himself..... ouch, to soon?
