For you who use hand calls

Have made a dozen stands so far and still skunked. I did half way decent last year with hand calls and this year nothing. What are you guys having luck with this year? I have been useing rabbit distres, woodpecker,and coyote pup. Maybe it is time I break down and buy an electronic caller. Any help would be great!!!! thanks

I have been out a few times this year and the hand calls still work. Sometimes you just have to change up your sets. Use a distress call then wait 3 or 4 minutes then throw in a pup howl. So far they have been responding good to that. I also have a foxpro and that works almost as good as hand calls.

It all depends on the predator. some will respond quick and some it might take 30 minutes of calling to get them to show up that is where electric calls come in handy.

Stick to the hand calls it keeps it fun!! Anyone can push a button, hand calls are an art that is soon gonna be dated... I have not been out a bunch this year the times I have, were successful! I use a cotton tail and it seems to works well for all predators! We went out one day and did an every other stand with fox pro, hand call. Bobcat with hand call and bobcat with fox pro.

Check out Kettle Creek Calls, they make a call named the "Griz 'n Grey Distress" call. It is top of the line. I would post a link, but I already got scolded for that.
