2010 CW.com Charity Drive!

Recommended Posts

You guys may have already read about Lark's granddaughter (also named Lark) who has recently returned from 10 weeks in the hospital. This poor child has been through 7 major surgeries and countless other "procedures" that no child should have to suffer through. Luckily for her, she received outstanding medical care at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Last weekend I spent helping some of the Outdoor Experience 4 All kids on their elk hunt, and they relayed some stories about their time at Phx Children's Hospital. Although they had to endure some scary treatments, they received excellent care and are now cancer-free! So in honor of many kids in the hunting community that have benefitted from the care at Phoenix Children's Hospital, I would like to start a donation drive. CouesWhitetail.com will donate 10 cents for every post made here in the forum from Dec. 1 to Dec 25. And for those feeling extra generous, you can make additional donations by using the "donate" button found under the menu on the left-hand margin of the main site ( http://www.coueswhitetail.com ). When you make the donation, you can add a note about wanting to apply it to the Phoenix Children's Hospital charity drive.

So now, just by doing what you love to do already...posting in this forum...you are helping to raise money to help kids at PCH. And if you feel the urge to donate more, you have the option to do that also!

Let's get in the Christmas spirit and see how much we can raise!

Outstanding Amanda! We have spent some time there with our oldest with surgery and when she was born. Their are an outstanding hospital with great people helping kids. It will break your heart to see the kids going through what they are but it helps to know that PCH is the best place for them to get well.

I love this idea. I have never been to PCH but my 4 year old spent some time in the NICU of another hospital when he was born and it's tough to go through as a parent. The things that these doctors and nurses do is nothing short of amazing.

I read the new posts on here every day; however, I don't post a lot on here so this will be a good excuse to post more. What a great idea Amanda!

I am not sure if I did it correctly, but I used the donate button from the main page to add some extra money for the cause. I didn’t see a spot to specify that I wanted the funds to go to Phoenix Children's Hospital charity drive so I just put that in the box that asked me what kind of sticker I wanted.

Keep up the best hunting site on the internet. I love how on this site people seem to come together rather than waste their time backbiting. B)

You did it right Knifeboy! I didn't realize the comment area on the donation asked what kind of sticker you wanted. Maybe I will go edit that. But the way you did it is fine and thank you for your generosity!

Amanda I just returned from my brother's successful Arizona elk hunt and read your email about donating to PCH, which I will do at your request.

I wanted to tell you that my grandson who is now in high school here in the valley has had more than a 15 surgeries at Phoenix Children's Hospital since he was a baby. Although Noah still requires surgeries on the average of once a year for an extremely rare syndrome, he plays football and is able to wrestle at times. I am sharing this because our family is grateful beyond words to the quality and type of care Noah has received at PCH. This is one of the finest medical facilities I ever encountered. The deep caring and highly skilled care runs from the admissions personnel and volunteers to the highest level medical staff. We praise God for Noah's well being and medical care at this institution. I am proud of you and coueswhitetail.com for associating with Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Thank you for caring.

Bill Whiting aka azmetalman.
