Late unit 27 Bull

Recommended Posts

308, your name couldn't be any more perfect. You are a NUT! You really think that is my mentality? Guilty until proven innocent? Come on man you need to read through the BS I was just playing the devil's advocate to all the stupid replies from you guys. I give up trying to explain myself to you people. Doesn't matter what I say, some NUT will just contradict what I say.

For once I will agree with you here! I am a 'nut' and I could not be more proud of it. I never have denied being a nut as I have better things to do with my spare time.

You do know what 'nuts' like to do in their spare time right? I have alot of spare time and a very vivid imagination....or fantasies depending on how you look at it......every once in a while they even breathe life. If you fully realize someone is a nut job, why would you engage them? And you call us stupid!

Do yourself a favor and dont annoy the crazy nut jobs around you. You will sleep better at night. :) Just a friendly peice of advice from one hunter to another.

Regards,

Oh, how did you find the hunting pressure during your hunt?

There seems to be a lot of tags for the late hunt and I hear

it can be a zoo.

Jeff

It can be crowded in areas closer to the roads and along horse trails, especially on top of the rim. My last rifle hunt up there, I only came across 3 people while hunting, and they were with an outfitter riding horses on the trail. I did not see anyone else in the hills or canyons I was hunting. The big one got away, but if you get a couple miles off the beaten track, the crowds will dissapear quickly.

Chimi,

thats a heck of a bull and something to be proud of. myself, and alot of the people on this site knows what it takes to get a bull like that. it takes a different sort of hunter to get back into the rough stuff away from roads, knock down a big ol' bull and still have the guts to haul it out. i personally have hauled out many elk in some real rough stuff. big ol bulls dont get that way from livin next to roads and dodgin' road bombers like MC. MC dont be jealous that chimmi shot a bigger elk than you have probably ever even laid eyes on. congrats on a great bull. MC, heres another couple bulls that you can lie about and make false roomers over..

Got lucky and had horses to haul out the meat on this one. carcass was picked so clean, buzzards were probably suprised
