bullwidgeon Report post Posted November 3, 2005 We had 36A tags. I was sunburnt, it was hot. I really was going to try to get away with shorts but there was too much cacti around. We both shot the bucks with my .300 Weatherby (really is there anything else worth shooting with? ). Brian has a nicer Weatherby than me but put a new scope on a month before the hunt and never got a chance to dial it completley in at 400 and 500 yards. We knew mine was dialed in all the way out to a mile and a half so we mostly just packed mine around . Tommy, I spent 8 hard days in New Mexico unit 12 in September and could never find a carp buck worth shooting, I ate muzzleloader tag soup. I wish a had a bull tag there though. Bret M. Kilimanjaro Report post Posted November 3, 2005 Brett, nice bucks buddy. Glad ya didn't have to eat tag soup on this hunt. That gets to be a bitter tasting meal after awhile.. Yeah, I got a case of the ol' redneck out there too. It was WARM!! But, what can ya do but just suck it up and keep on hunting!!!
ScottAdams Report post Posted November 3, 2005 Very Nice Bret!! Looks like you're hunting in Mexico in the summer!! Nothing like a successful hunt! Are you free this weekend? Scott
bullwidgeon Report post Posted November 3, 2005 Scott, Nope, I am busy this weekend. Did you guys draw both hunts over there? Maybe the second one or the late hunt in AZ though for a few days. Good luck over there. Bret M.
