Ernesto C Report post Posted November 26, 2010 I cant remember if it was last year or two years ago but some of you may remember the story I posted before about calling from a knoll and getting two coyots out of four that showed up. Here is a picture from that time: Well this morning decided to head up to the same knoll to see if I can get a coyot. I parked the truck on a wash and walked towards the knoll while I was remembering the excitment from the last time I was here. I'm about 150 yards from the knoll when I looked up and right on top of the knoll from where I was going to call there were 3 coyotes skylining looking at me! I quickly put my shotgun down raised my rifle and aimed for the one the was broadside to me (the other two were facing me) BOOOMM fired once and did not see if I hit the coyot or not. Saw one running down hill but could not get him on my crosshairs, looked up again and saw one still there facing me. I could only see his head and neck...BOOOMM!! fired once again and could not tell if I hit it or not. Picked up my shotgun and ran to the top of the knoll to see if I can see the other coyote on the oposite side of the knoll. Got there and looked and looked to the right to the left all around for that coyote but could not see it. A minute later got to were I shot at the second coyot and there he was; hit it right on the neck just below his mouth. 10 steps later and there was the other one, hit it right in the boiler room. Cool I said to my self, now is time to take a picture so I can showed to my friends of CWT.com Put my rifle and shotgun down, took my back pack off and I looked down towards where I shot from and saw a movement down there in a wash. It WAS THE OTHER COYOT!! running away from me. He circled around the knoll and got down wind from me! I got my rifle find him on my crosshairs and BOOMM he went from 20 to 45 mph in 6 seconds, BOOMM shot again just tight to the left! Now he hes about 350 yards away and BOOMM just tight to the right!! He dissapeared on a wash....YEA BABY that's what I'm talking about!! What and exciment! 2 out of 3 this time from the same knoll that gave me 2 out of 4 last year. Not bad at all! After those 5 shots I decided that maybe was not a good idea to call so I did not even turned the predator call on. Did another set up about 4 miles from there, the coyotes were invidted to show up but they never did. Ernesto C
