azyoung Report post Posted October 31, 2005 My son's youth hunt buck. He shot this buck openning day after a hard day of glassing and hiking. Walking back to the truck and glassed this buck with a small 4x4 on a ridge near our truck. He made a 100 yard shot and the buck walked off he tried a second shot but missed. We went up on the ridge to look for blood and he found his buck lying in the grass. 25" 3x3 field dressed at 135lbs. This is his second deer he shot a Coues last year in 36A One proud Dad! azyoung

stanley Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Outstanding picture Jeff!!! I was bummed that I wasn't at the camp when you & your boy came through (I had to zip back down to the valley for a few hours to watch my son's pop-warner game...). Although bummed that I wasn't there to greet you, I was cheered-up greatly when Amanda showed me the picture of your son that she took in camp. Thanks for sharing the field pic! Tell your boy congrats!!! Also, he won the camp drawing so he has a Daisey pellet gun coming his way. Best regards, S.
azyoung Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Stanley, Thank you! Riley will be glad to hear he won the pellet gun. A 12 year old boy can always use a new pellet gun. I was sorry not to meet you at camp. It was great to see everyone react to his buck. He was floating on air all day. The camp was great and I was glad to meet Amanda. I will send her the pic and Riley's story. Thanks for gun and the Jr camp we hope to get a jr tag next year. Thanks! azyoung
