justinspe25 Report post Posted November 15, 2010 That is sweet. I am just curious how much do you get for sheds? Not you specifically, in general. Is there alot of demand for them? Justin
Weston Report post Posted November 15, 2010 usually about 8$ for browns and 6 or 7 for hard whites (like this one) and about 4.50 for chalk horns. a good elk antler weighs about 10 pounds give or take a couple from antler buyers who come through town, but if you sell them online to collectors you can get quite a bit more. NOTE: This is out of state prices arizona prices are usually a bit lower

Coach Report post Posted November 15, 2010 No way I could sell that one "by the pound". Way too cool, and unique. Brown it up and use it as a backdrop for something cool like a bobcat, mearns, something artistic. A horn like that is pretty special, and some of the great taxidermists who frequent this site could do something really amazing with it. Pick something else you like, like a good coues Euro, some mearns, gambles, maybe a green teal, or whatever. I'd hate to see that thing ground up into asian afrodesiac powder...just saying. Heck of an antler!! Is it a 5 pt or is the 5'th hidden in the pic?? I would take a 340 5 pt over a 360 6 pt, if one had a choice. If you could please pass on the info to me of the buyer who is paying that much. That would help me out greatly If I could get that much. I aggree with Coach.. hold on to your favorites...sell the others, what you can stand too. lol Sold 40lbs the other day for 70$ , but my truck now has fresh brakes ..
