galiuro mountain man Report post Posted October 30, 2005 This is the best website on the net, but recently I have seen a change. This site is one of two that I go to, now I dont feel like reading a lot of what is on here, with all the arguing going on between eachother, and over just about anything. This was intended for learning about coues whitetailed deer. Lately it seems like a political opinion forum. If I wanted to see finger pointing and arguing I would go to a forum like that. I am done trying to weed through the whine posts to find posts about coues, or even hunting in general, so I will have to say bye. Good bye all, GMM
azdave Report post Posted October 30, 2005 I'm new here, so maybe its not my place to say, but if the "politics" pertain to hunting or just being in the hills of our hunting areas even remotely--then it has a place here, whether someone agrees with the post (politics) or not. I'm a member of several gun forums and another hunting forum, and must say I was thinking this is the most polite and respectful sight i've ever seen. Just shows how opinions differ. I look at it this way--don't like a post, don't read it or go back to it--- take what you can use and leave the rest. Alot of good info. here pertaining to Coues. Diamondbackaz Report post Posted October 30, 2005 GMM, I can understand some of what you are talking, but I will stay around because there is still good stuff here, just have to weed through what's worthwhile to you. I guess that there is only so much you can talk about Coues deer. I don't post as much as I use to, especially after I got a nasty email from a fellow member because I suggested an area for hunters to go hunt in 34A. However, this is one of the few sites that I can personally relate to most people since most people are from Arizona and New Mexico. I agree, if I want information on rifles, I go to 24hr camp fire where the rifle shooting loonies are, I go to the refuge forums on shotgun shooting. Politics are important and hunters as a group are not politically strong and need to be more active. Just think of all of the forest land that is closed off to private property in the Galiuro's. Only political action can help get more land open.
az4life Report post Posted October 30, 2005 GMM Sorry to see you go. I know we have had a couple threads take off on a different, more political direction, however the vast majority of the threads and topics are related to hunting and Coues Deer. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better overall group of people in any forum, anywhere on the net. It is hard to get anything 100% and I welcome some variety. That said, it is your choice, and everyone is not going to agree with everyone else, but I for 1, do hope you would reconsider and stop back from time to time! Thanks for your input. Guest Ernesto C Report post Posted October 31, 2005 GMM,I dont know what to tell you but I exactly know how you feel. I know there is ways to do things and we sometimes do not do it the right way or complain for things that are not priorities. All I can say is two things: I'm sorry and please dont go. Believe it or not I do appreciate you and I'm sure more fellow members here will like to see you stay because we still have not learn everything from you and you still have not giving out your best to us. Your fellow member.............................Ernesto C. God bless
rigutierrez Report post Posted October 31, 2005 I really don't think Politics get in the way much in this site. Now, I am a quiet (cause i am young and am learning now) but faithfull participant to this site. I pout my 2 cents when I can. I was looking at the topics available on the site and correct me if I am wrong (which 90%of the time I am). Politics only come in to play in mostly one topic. The Illegals! Now not gonna say anything on them nor should this be the place to post you opinon on the topic of illegals. I saw two of the most popular (which I think are the most popular) aras and I only see one Thread up on Illegals and that is the only one I believe Is political. Plase correct me if I am wrong and Delet my comment if I sound stupid and don't know what I am takling about. This a good site. I like deer and hate politics so I wouldn't stick around if it was really that bad.
Couesi1 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Got some bad new for you........politics makes the world go round......even on a coues whitetail site. I choose to embrace the opportunities and cool information that this site provides, even if some of it is poliltical. c-
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Sorry to hear you are leaving GMM. I don't know exactly which posts you are concerned about. Seems to me the thread on illegals is about the only political post going on and it does have to do with hunting, although that thread certainly touched on other issues related to illegal immigration. Have their been many other political threads lately? Maybe I missed them while I was on vacation? I suggest if anyone sees a lack of threads that interest you, then start a new topic and get a discussion going about something you want discussed that relates to Coues deer hunting. And as always, you can report posts that you think are inappropriate to me and the moderators. I hope you would reconsider leaving GMM. Some of your posts were extremely informative about Coues Deer hunting. Amanda
BRYCE CANYON Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Stick around GMM, you will not find a better whitetail site. You are starting to sound like CHD (Chris Darnell) from Grand Junction.
BowhuntCoues Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Sorry to hear you want to leave the site GMM, but the political issues that have been dicussed here are real issues we will see while hunting or enjoying the outdoors in Arizona. It sure has opened my eyes to be more carefull when I'm in that country and I do appreciate that knowledge and information I have learned from this site. Thanks to all of you for making this a great site!

galiuro mountain man Report post Posted November 1, 2005 I wasnt as clear as I would hyave liked to have been I guess. It isnt about the posts themselves, it was about the fighting with eachother, others believing if your opinion is not the same you are wrong. I feel every one is entitled to your own opinion. Maybe I am blowing things out of proportion, but I dont think that I am. Like the illegal post, it was a good post and informative about the problems, but when everyone started fighting about why it is and how to take care of it, it turned me off from here. Going back, I guess it wasnt as bad as I thought, there are some real issues, and arguing wont take care of them. GMM
