coues7 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 I work with a guy who is brand new to our state and is dying to go quail hunting. We will be in Globe around Thanksgiving and considering he's not a resident yet I figure the cheapest way to get him would be to take him onto the San Carlos Indian Reservation. Any good ideas as to where we could go? Thanks, Scott
raisedin32 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 I found out that if you don't have the proper permits on the reservation they will take your shotgun and make you pay to get it back.
coues7 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 We plan on having all the proper permits/licenses. I need to know where to hunt. Scott

Coach Report post Posted November 9, 2010 I would just have him buy a license and hunt all that wonderful state managed quail country around Globe!. That said, if you want to bypass the state licensing and hunt on a small game permit from San Carlos, I would go N. out of the town of San Carlos on the Natural Corral road up to the Seven Mile draw road then West toward Chatlin Well and Coffee Pot. More than enough country in there to fill your quail limits.
