Coues79 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 I've got a couple of upcoming hunts in 29 here shortly, one for myself and one for my wife. I know where we are going to hunt and am trying to find out if there has been any illegal activity in the area as of late. My wife is somewhat uneasy about the hunting situation in border unit and it'd be great to have some reassurance about recent activity. I have read somewhere on the forum of numbers to BP offices, however, in my search to find these numbers I have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have any information on how to obtain knowledge of this topic? Will BP be able to tell me of this info if I disclose exact locations of where we'll be hunting? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You
couespatrol Report post Posted November 9, 2010 My daughter and son had a hunt in 29 this past weekend. We were hunting the East end of the unit. Boarder Patrol was out in force but we never did see any illegals or drug mules. We did find several locations where they had been camping out. My wife and youngest Daughter stayed at camp the whole time and didn't notice anything. However, I did notice alot of vehicle traffic passing our camp between the hours of 1:00am and 4:00am. You can only guess whoe was in those vehicles. I am taking my son back this afternoon to finish his hunt. I will let you know if I notice anything else. The best way to obtain info is to ask an agent in the field. Describe where you will be and he/she should be able to answer your questions.

bradne Report post Posted November 11, 2010 Call the Willcox BP station (public number is 520-384-7200) and ask for their community relations officer. Depending on where you are actually hunting you may get the info you need or be referred to another station.
