rageinthesage Report post Posted November 3, 2010 I shot the extreme side by side with the Z7,and honestly if you put a blindfold on,you wouldn't be able to tell one from the other. They have the same cam,two fps difference in ibo, and the extreme is two inches shorter ata.Kinda disapointing.I still want to shoot the Magnum but its probably gunna feel the same, just a hair faster than the Z7.Another thing that left me scratching my head was the price tag,Extreme is $899,Magnum $999 etc, they say because the longer more machine work in the riser, well if that was the case wouldn't the extreme be 799 cuz of the shorter riser?...Needless to say I think Mathews is going backwards, not trying to bash but oh well,I love my switchback, and think the Monster series (other than the safari)are awsome. Flash Report post Posted November 5, 2010 Intertesting. Thanks for your opinion. I was surprised the 2011 flagship bow was shorter than the Z7. I still want to shoot it but am really interested in the magnum.
DesertBull Report post Posted November 5, 2010 Shorter than the Z7? That would be a slingshot then, right? The eZ7 looks most appealing to me, but the "longer ATA" is still only 32". I'm still looking at the Hoyt Alphamax
