1azbowhunter Report post Posted November 10, 2010 well the opening day we climbed up this hill in 7w where my dads buddy seen a bull that was every bit of 350 but no luck heard bugles but we didnt go after them because we wanted to see if they would come up.that evening we chased some bugles but daylight was running out and had to back out.second morning we went in where we heard the bugles and there we no bugles haha of course that would happen.so we went back to camp ate lunch and went to a tree stand over a wallow, sat at the stand till dark and i only seen a cow.next morning chased some bugles got into a couple rag horns i wanted to shoot one of them but my dad wouldnt let me.so at lunch we went to williams ate and grabbed some grocery's and went back out.i had to take my dads buddy to sit this tank and i was suppose to sit the other but when we jumped out of the truck we heard a bugle.so we jumped in one of the 6 blinds at this tank,no joke the tank was huge.right as we sat down heard some splashing,a bunch of cows jumped in behind them was a 6 by 7 around 360 370.he was like 102 yards too far.so a satellite bull came in to 70 yards wallowed for an half hour, walked to the middle of the pond at 45 i couldt get a shot.so he walked way behind us and followed some cows to the tank again,at 43 yards away i drew back back put my 40 yard pin a little high and that rage broad head let him have it.my dads friend danny burke said it was really loud but i was so zoned in i could not hear anything.he ran right where he came from but he didnt make it,i watched him fall and he tried to get up but he fell behind a bush and let out a death bugle
