shaynec Report post Posted October 27, 2010 Here are some pictures from our hunt last weekend south of Tucson. Mark spotted this deer at about 9:30 am at about a thousand yards, he let me hike up the hill in between us to let me settle in at 351 yards. Finally at 1:30pm the deer woke up and walked out of the brush broadside. One 95 grn Berger VLD from my .243 was all it took. That bullet really did a number on that deer. Note the special custom knob. Twelve year old Spencer, on his first deer hunt hiked up with me to field dress the deer and drag him down to the quads, I don't think I could have done it without him! I want to thank Mark, Jake, Ryan and Spencer for all their help! Shayne
