jefftrucker12 Report post Posted October 24, 2010 hey i was wondering how i could get a muzzle brake on my girl friends .308 marlin xs7. it doesn't kick alot but reducing the kick as much as possible would be best for here since she weights 110lbs. i am located in flagstaff and i am unsure if there are any gunsmiths in town. can any machine show thread a barrel to take a muzzle brake? if they could i would just get the barrel threaded and then order a break online. or is istalling a brake not this simple. Coach Report post Posted October 24, 2010 Another thing you might look at is the recoil pad. I don't know what that rifle comes with stock, but the Sims recoil pads are amazing at reducing felt recoil. I put one on a .270 WSM and my 11 and 13 year old commented about how little it kicks.
