AZantlerhead Report post Posted November 1, 2010 I heard it was like a U.S soldier guided hunt on a fenced military base...provided by uncle sam....sounds good, i guess they don't want umm there they just got fenced in when they built it..just what I've heard... even tell ya wich deer to shoot.. . Best wishes, I'm sure it will be a good hunt whatever the case. Does Hauchuca have any Coues deer?

azrcks Report post Posted June 8, 2012 I have a friend that hunts in there every year with his two kids. They fill their tags every year. There are plenty of coues on base, he says it is like a game preserve. There is a game biologist on post there and he is very helpful, anything you get with any weapon needs to be checked in with him.
Heinz57 Report post Posted June 8, 2012 Glad to hear they've done well in this unit. From what I've gathered from this site and information on post, as you said, there are plenty of coues to hunt there. Very reassuring for a first time coues hunter. Now I've just got to get some good optics and learn the country.
