Elkaddict Report post Posted October 12, 2010 These pictures were taken 5 miles east of Hwy 87 on the 141 road. It's a couple of miles past Jones Crossing. Unbelievable, pictures just don't show the devastation. No structures were in the area, but as you can see these giant Ponderosa pines didn't fare so well. Ron G. Report post Posted October 12, 2010 Great pictures Terry. It must have been that same tornado that crossed Blue Ridge Reservoir road, cut down near Little Springs, crossed 87, and then crossed FR211. I saw where it crossed 87 dropping down into Little Springs from BRR turnoff and also where it crossed FR211. The destruction looked about the same. Ponderosas and oaks snapped in half. Crazy! youngbuck Report post Posted October 12, 2010 I was in strawberry saturday night. Some one staying with us, woke us up and said they think there is a tornado. It was windy and knocked over some trees, but nothing like the pics.
nohoch Report post Posted October 12, 2010 That's amazing. Those aren't small trees and to think that wind can just snap those like twigs....that's pretty amazing. Great pics.
