cramerhunts Report post Posted October 10, 2010 Got out to check the cameras this weekend and had a few new visitors. Some welcome and some not so welcome! Was really happy to see how many acorns were spread across the ground and can't wait for the upcoming season.

cramerhunts Report post Posted October 11, 2010 THATS A NICE BUCK..... great pic how high off the ground do you put your cams... It all depends upon the set up and what is available but if possible I prefer to have them around 7 to 8 feet off of the ground to eliminate false triggers and it also helps prevent things tampering with the camera. Simple Hunter Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Nice buck in that last pic...looks like a 3x4. Too bad the G1s and G2s aren't as big as the G3s...I'd still shoot in a hearbeat.

The area has some great genetics and there seems to be a dominant four point gene in the area. A couple of years ago I took a young four by four that scored right at 101" and was still a young buck. We'll see what this year brings.
