cactusjack Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Good luck to all the hunters going out for tomorrows Youth Hunt. May the deer of your dreams show up in your optics. A special thanks to all the "old" hunters for passing down the traditions of hunting and good sportsmanship. Now, to quote a cop show from the 80's (Hill Street Blues), Let's be careful out there. Coach Report post Posted October 7, 2010 I'll be setting up camp this afternoon so my two oldest can be out chasing muleys in 3a/3c tomorrow morning. First deer hunt for both of them - should be a good time!
TAM Report post Posted October 7, 2010 We'll be heading out tomorrow after school for my son's first deer hunt. As an added bonus he also drew one of the youth javelina tags for the same unit, so he's got two tags burning a hole in his pocket. He's not picky either, if it's legal it's getting shot. Good luck to all the kids!!!

stanley Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Leaving after school today! Kiabab doe hunt for us! Taking my youngest child up for her first deer hunt! Can't wait!! S. PS: For those who care: She is a little tiny thing for her age, and the Remington reduced-recoil ammo ROCKS!! I would highly recommend it for the range if you have any little ones that are a little 'kick' shy..... She'll be shooting the .308 with confidence tomorrow! Red Rabbit Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Received in an email a few hours ago: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Due to lack of volunteer support the ADA has canceled its 2010 Youth Deer Camp in unit 23. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The ADA is sorry to announce that it has canceled the 2010 youth deer camp that was scheduled for this weekend, Oct 8-10. The ADA regrets this action and we hope that this has not caused hardship for anyone. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough volunteer support to conduct the camp. (note: TheArizonaHunter.com youth deer camp in 23 outside of Punkin Center is still occuring this weekend)
