donniedent Report post Posted October 7, 2010 I haven't been on here in a while as I had moved to Wyoming. I just moved back in August. Everybody used to ask if I was a dentist because of my screen name. Well, the fact is I do paintless dent repair. I work out at collision center of peoria. We took in 60 cars yesterday and we are expecting probably quadruple that before all is said and done. Any of you guys that got hit, call your claims in now. The insurance company's are getting pounded and if you get them in now, you stand a chance of getting your car done this century. We are at the point now where we're booked till late October. Most of the severe damage occured in Scottsdale, Cave Creek and central Phoenix. All the cars that are coming in from those places will have to have paint work done and some claims are close to $9K. Some of the other areas that weren't so bad have cars that are deff repairable without breaking paint and are looking at a 3 day turn around. I'm not here to advertize, just for info. If any of you have questions feel free to ask. Good luck and God bless. Donnie Lee
azslim Report post Posted October 7, 2010 I was driving down to GCC when the first round came through, was heading home for the second. My rig was parked in the driveway when the BIG hail came, looked like someone was dropping full sized ice cubes on us, luckily my windows survived. In the couple miles (5?) on 59th Ave I saw a wreck on the way to GCC, 2 stalled vehicles and a rear-ender on the the way home, pretty good storm.
tjhunt2 Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Sorry to hear about your jeep Amanda. Peg got stuck in it near our house and when she got home to asked me to get the dog food out of the back seat. She had the window down and didn't realize it. I should have taken a picture. It was full of hail. Hope your insurance takes care of it for ya. TJ
catclaw Report post Posted October 7, 2010 WOW- that is intense. I spent Tues night in a back-pack tent in Tonto nat forest at about 6000'. I though I was going to get washed away! Glad I didn't have hail like that!!!
donniedent Report post Posted October 9, 2010 Stopping in to give an update. From what we're hearing at our body shop, there are nearly 500,000 cars in the phoenix area with hail damage. IF YOU HAVE A VEHICLE WITH HAIL DAMAGE, GO TO A REPUTABLE SHOP THAT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY WORKS WITH. There are going to be alot of Gypsy hail chasers out there offering paid deductables and such and working off of street corners. They're out to take your money. They do shoddy work and won't be here when you find things wrong with your vehicle. If you need assistance in selecting the right repair facility or in making sure you're not getting taken, send me a PM. I don't care where your car get fixed or who does it, I just want to see that you're treated right.
