DesertBull Report post Posted October 16, 2005 I have never used it as a cover or lure while hunting, but I put some around my salt licks once in while. I have found that it doesn't spook them, but I am not sure they really come running to it either. I do think the imitation vanilla extract spooks them, because I put some of that on a new salt lick I started and they never came around it, even though I know there were a lot of deer using the trail. I moved the salt 100 yards down the trail and they started using within a week or so.
az4life Report post Posted October 16, 2005 I sort of look at it as anything that is not normally found in the area, could be a bad thing. Artificial stuff is just that... Artificial. Just my opinion, but based on what I have seen and heard from others and myself. Myabe you are on to something though? If it works don't knock it.
