robertramsey61 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Well we are leaving this Thursday to head south to hunt out side of Tucson for my nephews first deer hunt, he is 10 and is very pumped up. I have been shooting with him and this weekend we went to a simulation shoot. I was a little worried as he has been shooting up to 200 yards and no more and the shoot has everyone shooting to 400. The day started slow for him, he was intimidated by the others and was shaky, but once I got him in he was making great shots off his back and off his belly at 300 yards. Great day and kid is going to do great, I cant remember how far I was shooting at that age but it was not 300 and 400 yards! Long story short, I sure hope to post some picks next week of his buck, he is so exited, he calls me every day to tell me the count down!!
desertdog Report post Posted October 4, 2010 that's great..............good luck to you guys. Getting him in that shoot should really help him out when the time comes to make the big shot. I mean there is no substatue for the real thing but putting your self in pressure situations cant hurt and will only make you better.
