Looking for a meat packer / butcher in Tucson area

Recommended Posts

Due to the time of my hunt and my travels immediately thereafter I will not be able to prepare the venison, should I harvest a deer this year.

Can anybody suggest a reliable butcher, meat packer in the Tucson / Oro Valley area where I can take the carcass for processing? As my wife and I are satisfied just with 1/2 the deer I am willing to leave the other half towards payment for the job, should they agree.

Any suggestions?

Ben

WILD GAME PROCESSING - John Croci- 520-292-2262 He does a fantastic job. I have been using him for ALL of my butchering for the last 5 or 6 years. He is normally really quick in getting the meat back to you.

Hands down best place to go, Jonathon WGP. He accepts game and at any hour and is a great guy. He is located 5 minutes from I-10. No need to look any further

WGP it is!

I am sure the owner will be thrilled with the referrals. Now that they are opening the Twin Peaks interchange on I-10 he is actually not far at all.

I'll give him a call!

Much obliged,

Ace

+1

He has done my last 5 animals, and I have been nothing but thrilled with the quality and service.

I got my deer opening morning this year and took it to WGP based on the recommendations on here. He was out hunting but there was someone to drop it off and do the paperwork with. Got everything back in less than a week even though he was out hunting when I dropped it off. The jalapeno cheese summer sausage and snack sticks are AWESOME. I can't wait to cook some of the other meats this weekend.
