Unit 21 Az

Recommended Posts

First off I'd like to say welcome to the site. Now I'm going to be blunt and please don't take it the wrong way I'm just telling it how it is. Your probably not going to get too many people willing to help you out on this. Most guys don't like it when someone's first post is to ask the "where should I hunt" question. Even if it's your 100th post most guys don't like it. You'll probably get a link to the AZ G&F where to hunt section and that's about it. The best way to ask for this type of info is to do it through the PM system only. This way just one person will see the info instead of the whole www even then some people still won't give you any info. Edit your post so it says PMs only please and you might get some more help.

Honestly the G&F where to hunt section is all you need to know to get started. Sorry I don't have a link but go to the site and it shouldn't be too hard to find. After reading where they tell you to hunt in 21 you'll have enough good info to go out and do some hunting. Good luck on your hunt and post some pics with a small story if you get one.

this year is my first year hunting gmu 21 also. i have the early rifle cwt tag. im going up there to scout this weekend. for the 6th time since the draw results came out.IF you have not started scouting yet im sure theres a reason. "bin busy" is not a reason. every one is busy. but if hunting is your past time of choice you make time.

as the other post has said AZ F&G web site will get you going in the right direction.

my best advice.

get as far away from the road or other people as you think you can carry a deer from.

be comfortably with long shots and long pack outs

or drive up and down dugas road till you see one you like.

after you get a buck post lots of pictures and right up the whole story leading up to the shot and pack out.

any canyon between dugas and bloody basin will hold whitetails. find a range between theses roads and get a good vantage point, glass, glass and glass some more. you will find them.
