Bass Pro Billboard on I-10

Recommended Posts

So as I was heading home tonight, I saw this Bass Pro sign next to the I-10 heading east bound, right before exit 194 just west of skyharbor airport and noticed something.

It had a picture of a Eastern Whitetail on it!!! The only animal on the billboard!

Being Arizona I would hope they would put an Arizona big game animal on there!!!

I think we need to call them to put a coues deer on there!!! Kinda funny, but most people wouldn't know, a deer is a deer to most folks. I just think of Eastern Whitetails on corn fields on private land and having to pay allot of money for a good tags. But then again I have no idea on easterns, but I know I have no desire to hunt them. I love the pursuit on public land! ha!

Man, I must be out of it! I drive that way every night and don't think I've ever noticed the deer on that billboard.

Not cool..another reason to shop at cabelas and sportsmans!

Alright now, hold your fire for a second guys! There is a Bass Pro sign on the ten... but it only shows the store front with their logo! The sign that has the big eastern is *gasps* Cabelas!

Now cut me some slack, they were taken, cropped, edited, uploaded, and posted from my phone. Hana

There are hundreds of thousands of guys getting ready for "eastern whitetail" hunts. If you didn't draw, like me, your watching on tv. They use their ad budget to meet the masses. I wish I could afford to go back for an eastern hunt. At least I would be in the woods.

what's bill quimby's opinion on it? Lark.

Lark:

As we both know, there are more than three dozen subspecies of white-tailed deer ranging nearly continuously from southern Canada to Peru and Venezuela. (Our little Coues whitetail is just one of them.) Most of the subspecies in the United States are found east of Arizona, of course, but there also are subspecies north and west of us.

However, I long ago gave up trying to educate hunters who won't bother to learn more about whitetails, an impressive animal that is arguably the most beautiful and smartest of the world's forty types of deer. If they want to lump all the many other North American whitetail races into a category called "easterns," more power to them.

I took me a couple days to see the bass pro sign. I'm just getting on the 10, and usually still checking behind me while merging when that sign passes.
