MangeyJoe Report post Posted September 5, 2010 I hate scorpions. I love let my cat in the living room at night so he can do the exterminating... What I don't know can't hurt me
AZbowhntr Report post Posted September 5, 2010 We had a desert hairy scorpion in an aquarium for a few years before he finally dies about a month ago. He was about 2" long without adding the tail. It was always fun to catch crickets and watch him grab them and sting them before he chowed down. They don't bother me near as much as spiders. We now have a leopard gecko that we caught out in the yard as a pet. He chows down crickets too.

Dodger2 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 My son stepped on one last summer...got him on the toe. He ended up in UMC about an hour later. It was weird. He came in screaming and we couldn't figure out what was wrong, couldn't see anything wrong with his foot. About 15mins later he starts complaining of stomach cramps and nausea. While at UMC the doctors started showing us other symptoms. His tongue looked like it had worms inside it...he got two doses of anti-venin. They are nasty critters...hate them more than anything...he does too....
