WHALE Report post Posted September 2, 2010 After the last couple of years of little to decent bucks I told the couple guys I hunt with that this year was my trophy year..............Well sometimes I just can't help my self and here we go again. I spotted a pretty good buck and my buck together and decided to try a stalk. I slipped the boots off and followed the these two. I got to seventy yards and with the good buck walking my buck stops broadside. Well no wind, pretty calm deer, light fading and no self control, smack. I left him over night to be sure. Got there this morning at first light with 43 degree temperature and started tracking. tjhunt2 Report post Posted September 4, 2010 Sounds like some of my hunts in the past. No self control when them antlers appear. I'm surprised the meat was still good. Sometimes it looks and smells good but later turns on ya. I hope that's not the case in your situation. By the way, not only do the girls like him, I like him as well.
