Harleyfx69 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 It always makes me smile when people are doing illegal activities and get arrested for them.. that always puts a smile on my face.. Nothing like destroying the forest to make for a better hunt..
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 Dude, you have not outlined one single illegal activity that anyone has done. All you said is people driving around. You never once said off road, cross country or anything like that. Just a little FYI.
Harleyfx69 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 Also for the quads, i wouldnt be bitching if the were on a road, thought i was clear in saying they were literally driving across no road forest, just blazing after the dang deer.. Which IIRC is illegal and if caught carries a large fine and what not .. Good luck yall pretty sure that says it .. not on a road, in the middle of a forest, no roads, no trails, no creek beds, driving through the middle of the forest,
stanley Report post Posted September 1, 2010 OK, we get it now Harley (though in your initial post it mentioned nothing about them being off-road....) ..... Well, the bottom line is that it is a bummer your hunt was screwed-up. Maybe next time a call to the Forest Service (or appropriate officials for an 'M' area, depending on the land status) to report it would be a good idea! Sincerely though, good luck in your future hunting. S.

Nothing like destroying the forest to make for a better hunt.. Yep me too. I carry around a note pad and a pencil for just such cases. I'll be danged if I'm going to get blamed for someone elses stupidity.
azoutlaw Report post Posted September 2, 2010 I agree that if they were off roading then that sucks. But if they are on the road, oh well. It happens and should be expected. I hate listening to people complain about road hunters. If road hunters are hurting your hunt, then get away from the road. The same crap has been going on since as long as everyone here has been hunting so deal with it. If they are off road, get their license plate # and call it in. JLW Report post Posted September 2, 2010 went out last weekend put a stalk on a nice 3x3 muley but the winds kept changing and they got a little nervous and worked their way into some thicker stuff. watched some turkeys sat. morning till they broke up. passed on 2 spikes sun morning had 1 at 40 yds. on the way out saw a bear on a super steep slope in a rock slide watched him feed into some thicker stuff. i have a new admiration for you bear hunters, that would have been brutal! james
