revaeb Report post Posted August 24, 2010 I haven't killed many animals, a bull elk in 27 (actully about 200 yards from where I shot this deer), and another coues in 24b. Both of those were with a rifle. Taking this guy with my bow was one of the coolest things ever. I watched him come in from about 120 yards. He stopped at 17 and gave me a chance to draw when he reached back to lick his butt. My stupid quiver doesnt hold my arrows tight, and when I drew, 2 of them slid down to the broadheads. I was a mess, my heart was beating and I was breathing SOO hard! I managed to hold it together, and he ran out to where I had a 30 yard refrence point pre ranged, stopped, gave me a perfect broadside view, and that was it for him, Double lunged and after an hour I found him about 150 yards away.
