rich hold Report post Posted August 19, 2010 Ok , I hunted this area for a number of years ( 8+).Three weeks ago I go for a walk about to check out the creek that runs thru the area. It leads into some thick stuff so I usually dont go there alot.Well after about 300 yards I run into a black drip line that follows the creek,so not thinking much about it I keep following it,ranchers some times use them to feed troughs for cattle. It starts to meander off the creek so I follow it some more, and gets really thick, then I notice these branches all made into a blind (so i thought),still thinking hunting and deer. Then this blind turns into a screen type fence that goes for about fourty feet in a circle.Still not thinking of much,as I peer thru the branches I see the pipe all laided out and in rows. DING the light goes off and I start backing out with my pistol in hand. Now I start thinking CRAP,This not very far from my tree stand. So I call the Sherriff ,give them the coordinates and they tell me that they know about it and have it under survailance. Also they say that there are three more in the area and to be careful. Good luck tomorrow, and be safe.
rclouse79 Report post Posted August 19, 2010 Dang. It would not be worth risking life and limb, but I would be tempted to make the hike back in there with a 5 gallon spray bottle of round up. It would be priceless to see the scum bags trying to figure out why thier crop went tits up.
