lucky2hunt Report post Posted August 19, 2010 Have been scouting for archery deer pretty hard the last couple of weeks, today went to check on 'Plan A' and 'Plan B' I get to the tank of 'B' and there are not one, but TWO signs before the tank that states "Hunter IN Stand" Are you kidding me??? Usually I try to stay out of the way of conflict with other hunters, as a female that hunts alone a lot of the time, sometimes I can get a little jumpy when others are in my immediate area. But come on... reserving a stand 3 days ahead, it is Wednesday season opens on Friday... Yeah I was ticked off, after checking to make sure there wasn't actually a hunter in a stand, the two signs came down and were thrown in the trash along with the rest of the chicken crap I had after cleaning the coop today! Buckhunter Report post Posted August 19, 2010 should've taken pictures and called Game and Fish they would have come and wrote tickets to the first person who sat the stand. I actually know a hunter who does the same thing on archery elk hunts. Just curious, was it a barricade style sign?
youngbuck Report post Posted August 19, 2010 I use signs if I hunt water WHEN IM ON IT. Just to prevent some guy walkin up and feelin bad about it. Ive done it before when i dont see a guy in a tree, I feel prtty bad. I usually leave a waterbottle and a hat in my blind to to let people know some one has been using it. Thats a bad deal 3 days early.

bonecollector Report post Posted August 19, 2010 Good for you taking down the sign. That is rediculous to have it up 3 days before the season opens.
