Archery elk success

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to share a couple of pictures of my friend's first bull.

I called it to 12 yards, he made the shot, and the bull only went about 50 yards.

It was a great time!

Allen,

He bugled, and I knew he was coming, but it all happened so fast I never saw the bull or even knew he was that close already. I heard the bow fire, and was totally surprised.

Thanks,

When you get the chance let us see the other side of that rack. That is very interesting looking. Wow what a first bull for sure.

az4life,

I am unsure if you are looking for gender or brand. So, I was using cow calls and I use strictly Primos calls: hyper lip and imperial/sentry reed calls.

That bull looks like a bull my buddies son got last year. The side with 7 on it is even on the same side. Congrats!

What happens with a bull like that, is he was fighting and had his skull cap broke, from there as the bull feeds and drinks the weight of the antler falls down, once he heals from it, the antler starts to come straight foward. It still amazes me, even with that the antler still knows how to grow back as normal.....Great bull.
