picture comparison

Recommended Posts

I was looking back through some pics I took a couple weeks before my hunt and came across this one. Look how close these bulls compare to eachother. This bull in the lower picture I think was a little bigger in his second, thirds and fifths. I shot my bull about two miles from this pic. I think they are related for sure. Good genetics in this area. David

I can't find a difference in these bulls, I think the two bulls are the same. This bull could easily travel two miles also. What does everybody else think?

I think your right 111. I studied it for a while and can't find a real noticable difference. the front 2 points really make me believe its the same as well.

The picture of the live elk is to far away for me to be sure, but they do look similar. I am sure there are brothers and cousins in the area so it could be a different bull, but then again you never know.

I think they might be different just because the seconds on the live bull seem a little shorter than mine and it looks like a small horn sticking out on the left side of the live bull. They might be the same bacause I couldn't find the bull again in the same area. David

I think the point sticking out on the left side of the live bull is because of the angle. Look close at the brow tines on both bulls, identical

If you could locate the live bull and you had not shot your bull yet you could just ask them " WHO'S YOUR DADDY" . I think they are pretty dang close to being the same one.

Great bull, congrats.

looks to me, that all points, spread and rub marks match... what looks to be a odd point on the left side is a tree branch.

There is no doubt that it is the same bull. First of all the G1s on each side are identical, the G4 on the bulls left side flares out at the tip. The bulls left beam also flares out at the tip. The picture of when he was still alive is at a slightly different angle and you can see the end of the beam a little better. Great bull!!!

Same bull for sure!! The big bull we killed in 7M was over a mile and a half from where I found the broken eyeguard off of him and that was in just two days. If I can walk 2 miles in an hour you can imagine how far an elk can go in several days. Killer picture. If your picture was taken off a digital camera with a high resolution, crop the scenery out of it and blow that puppy up, I think you'll be convinced then. If you want to send it to me, I'll do it for you. Awesome elk man that is too cool, congratulations!!
