Lucky to have my cam

Recommended Posts

Well I went and checked my cam after a week in the field and when I got there my sd card was not in all the way. Someone had taken it out and deleted my pics from the first 3 days, I know because I stood in front of it and saw that it took a pic of me when I had placed it! My cam had to use it's internal memory to store pics since the card wasn't in right. Thanks for not stealing my cam, I will take a deleted card over losing a cam anyday!

You can still view those pictures on that deleted sd card by downloading a free sd card recovery software program from the internet. You have to pay for most of them but the free ones also work. try zero assumption recovery. There are others that are easier to use . I've had to do the same thing, and more times then not the culprit is caught on camera. The funny thing is he thinks its all good because he deleted all your pictures. I'm not worried about sharing that info on this forum becouse we are only top notch guys who would never mess with other peoples stuff!!!

Red Rabbit probably has some better info on this free sd card recovery stuff,I don't know him , But he really seems to know his stuff. Hopefully he can chime in about this free software stuff.

One more thing, In order to recover those pictures, you should not take any more pictures on that same sd card, because it will erase those pictures once the card is totally full again. But it wont erase those first pictures until the card is totally full.
