DONT PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET!!!

Recommended Posts

we all know better than to concentrate on one area! or we should, but this year I did just that! Had alot of good bucks coming in early then this darn rain, Ive got two doe in 4 weeks and a couple of bears. No bucks and this late in the game it might be too late to switch up! May just have to wait till november when we have our rifle tags! Oh well you cant win them all! good luck to every one on the 20th!

Im having the same problem CJ. Before the rains I had some bucks coming in, now I have had only 1 come in the last 7 weeks. Hopefully next time I check my cam next week they'll be back. Good luck

hello - I'm not sure how to react and i dont want to say something to offend someone but cameras are a tool !-

they let you know what kind of bucks are in the area - sorry the bucks don't play candid camera for everyone to know exactly what days and times they visit the waterhole or the salt pile or the corn pile - but at least you know there are nice deer in the area -

but to kinda blame the darn rain for making it difficult to get pictures at one spot and spoiled your chances at the bucks showing up - ????? so instead of sitting on one or more "baited areas"

GO HUNTING !

no offence meant towards how people hunt -

Good point, like a good financial portfolio - diversification can be good for hunt spots against weather changes. This past July, one cam location was producing groups of bucks appearing about every three days, then with the storms there was 12 days with nothing, but they've been returning thankfully. Good luck.

Waterhole, baiting, food plots, spot and stalk it's all good.. Finding a spot where someone doesn't steal your wounded deer, priceless...

Happened to me with a mulie in December 09, will never hunt around other bowhunters again, find yourself somewhere to hunt that no one else knows about, and keep it quiet!!

i just like getting the pics of the wildlife, I dont think Ive ever sat at a place ive had a camera! this year I decided to let a freind try and help me finally bag a deer with my bow and its not really panning out! not everyone that has cameras out uses them for hunting purposes and i think using them like that is acceptable its just like scouting for the busy working man!
