Remington 700 BDL custom .308 Wino Sold

This custom .308 has a mcmillan heavy sporter 308 win barrel. The barrel was chambered, recessed crowned, and fitted at Harry Lawson's Gunsmithing in Tucson. He also lapped the lugs on the bolt. The barrel was duracoated and painted matte black. The trigger is set at a crisp 2 lbs. The stock is a boyd's laminate in pepper. It is bedded with devcon and the barrel is free floated. It also has a limb saver recoil pad which makes the felt recoil feel like a .243 It comes with leupold 1 piece base and 1-inch rings. This is a shooter with many groups during testing coming in under and inch. It liked 168gr Nosler BT and 165gr speer btsp. The barrel has under 250 rounds through it.

 

I just purchased this rifle from "Whisper", a coues whitetail member from this website. I met him in Casa Grande and was very happy with how it looked and what came with it. When I got home and started handling it and putting it up to my cheek I discovered I didn't really like the ergonomics of the stock. The front part of the stock where my left hand holds is a little thicker than I'm used to. I've got small hands so maybe that is why? Anyway, I was kind of wanting a Remington model 700 .300 Ultra mag all along to build my own rifle so I ended up buying one and now need to sell the 308 to pay for a barrel, new stock, etc.

 

I negotiated the price down to $650.00 for everything and will not sell it for less than $650.00 I will also include the scope that came with my new .300 RUM for an extra $25.00 Sold for $650 from another site.

Wow!!!! Sounds like nice package!

 

I've got three kids that are now hunting age, and we can't seem to have too many good big game rifles in the safe! If I wasn't trying to finish outfitting/updating for my upcoming archery elk hunt this fall, I would sincerely be all over this!

Broken Wheels, I purchased my new .300 RUM at Sportsmans Warehouse and it came with a Remington scope that is 3-9 x 40. The guy that sold it to me said the scope is nothing special. For the quality of the rifle, I think it probably deserves a better scope.

WOW, that is a smokin deal. I've already started assembling a new 7 mag or would have been 1st in line. If you don't reload you could ebay all the that reloading stuff and get $200 back, easy. That makes the price $450.
